Job description

This position will help our editorial, marketing, and sales teams be more effective and focus on the work that they do best.

Help the editorial team focus on writing, not administrative work

  • Help writers find people to interview

  • Manage communications between people writers want to interview

  • Manage editorial projects in Asana

  • Create reports in Harvest on time and resources spent per project

Turn customers into raving fans

  • Send customers a weekly email with the status of each active project

  • Ensure that each project is delivered on time

  • Create “moments of delight” by going above and beyond and sending handwritten cards, gifts, and swag to customers and partners

Accelerate growth by supporting marketing and sales

  • Help turn marketing experiments into operational marketing programs (with the help of our marketing team)

  • Create reports on effectiveness of each marketing program

  • Create marketing collateral for the sales team to present to customers (proposals, customer stories, guides, etc)

  • Create systems and processes to improve the marketing and sales teams’ operational efficiency

Support executive team

  • Help the executive team do research related to the company’s operations

  • Plan executive travel and company retreats

  • Create a system to keep documents and paperwork organized

  • Attention to detail: You double-check your i’s and t’s to ensure nothing gets dropped or missed.

  • Systems thinking: You think about how to make processes scalable, and you can streamline projects that involve multiple people and ideas.

  • Low entitlement and ego: You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever needs to get done.

  • Bias towards action: Getting things done is your default mode. You enjoy autonomy and are self-motivated.

  • Values alignment: You believe in what we’re doing and never cut corners.

  • Quick learner: You aren’t afraid to teach yourself something new to get a job done.
