In this role you’ll be responsible for helping our customers tell amazing stories, managing and growing our writer network, and helping launch our own publication.
Help customers tell amazing stories
Help customers think about content production from a narrative-perspective and produce stories unlike anything they’ve produced before
Make creative briefs that give writers clear direction on the stories they produce
Find freelancers in our network (or outside) that have experience with the subjects at hand and onboard them to the projects
Edit drafts and provide feedback on stories
Manage and grow our writer network
Recruit writers and improve our existing recruiting process
Vet writers and ensure that only the best join our network
Create a standardized process that streamlines the story production process
Help us launch our own publication
Work with our leadership team to launch a publication that readers and customers can love
Come up with story ideas
Manage a network of freelancers and produce stories under budget
What we’re looking for
Minimum of 3 years in a related position — You’ve written and edited content for magazines that cover business, technology, brand, and/or design. Alternatively, you’ve been the Head of Content or Content Marketing Manager for a great brand.
Exceptional writing skills — You can take rough ideas and turn them into compelling, narrative-driven stories that readers love.
Great communication skills — You follow up and follow through. You communicate clearly and consistently.
Systems thinking — You think about how to make processes scalable, and you can streamline projects that involve multiple people and ideas.
Bias towards action — “Get shit done” is your default mode. You enjoy autonomy and are self-motivated.
Attention to detail — You cross your t’s and dot your i’s and hate typos (you’ve probably seen a couple on this page already).
Values alignment — You believe in what we’re doing and want to help us build a company that makes a real social impact.
